The Lake Merritt photos were taken on my daily walks around the lake during a challenging time in my life. The outings brought me solace and energized my creative process. I captured light, reflections, and shadows that appeared across the surface of the water. Each walk presented me with rich abstract images; myriad shapes, colors, patterns, and textures in constant change. The walks became my daily reflections on life and reminded me that life is always shifting and in flux. Change is one of the constants we have in life; the lake was there to reflect that back to me.
